This is a Chinese traditional cookie 桃酥. I learned this from a good friend. It is a very easy recipe, requires very basic materials, and takes less than 20 minutes to prepare.

Materials:

  • Vegetable oil 120g
  • Sugar 100g
  • Egg 1
  • Cake powder (or all purpose flour) 300g
  • Baking Soda 3g

Recipe:

  1. Mix the oil and sugar, and add beaten egg.
  2. Add sifted flour and baking soda and use hand to mix evenly.
  3. Divide and shape into small balls (about 1 inch in diameter), place on oven plate and press with palm. Top with some sesame to decorate (optional).
  4. Bake at 325F for 18 minutes - Done!
